About Me

I am a natural-minded mom who loves coffee, wine and books, along with cooking for my family and getting dirt on my hands in the garden with my kids. I believe in attachment parenting, free range kids, and the importance of nurturing our children’s individual spirits.

If I didn’t do the work I do now (which I cherish, by the way…), I’d be a travel photographer. We try to visit someplace new in the world every year.  But, although I love to travel, I despise flying and sometimes wish that we still had to travel by train or boat. I am an introvert with a big voice and a strong personality, who loves adventure, but is afraid of crowded spaces and, for some odd reason, bridges. I fantasize about booking a hotel room by myself with a giant tub, fluffy bed and comfy chair by a window for when the next Outlander or Game of Thrones book finally arrives. Plus, being an obsessive reader has lent me quite the vocabulary (FYI – I’m just as likely to drop the F-bomb in conversation as I am “folderol”).

I love a small house where we all can be together a lot, with big beds that invite the whole family to cuddle. I birthed both my babies at home, but love supporting moms in a variety of birth settings! Evidence-based birth support is my jam! I’m passionate about birthing rights, physical autonomy, informed consent and helping women embrace their power. Nearly nothing gives me greater joy than supporting families on this crazy journey through parenthood/birth and creating captivating and emotional art that will be your family’s heirlooms for generations.
