This wonderful family hired me as they prepared to welcome their son, a second child for mama, and a first born for dad! I was blessed to be with them as their doula and birth photographer. This sweet mama had been wishing for and preparing for this home birth for 7 years, since she had her first child, a daughter, unmedicated in the hospital. We all thought that this birth might go fast, as some second births do, but instead we were together for 27 hours as we trusted her body and the universe’s divine timing for the birth of this baby boy. When it was all said and done, it was perfect!
